A Machinist is responsible for several duties at Exactec, including fabricating both finished parts and parts that complete finished goods, through the use of both CNC equipment and hand machining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints & instructions to fabricate parts per spec
• Sets up CNC per work instructions
• Utilizes manual & automated equipment to safely manufacture parts
• Plans the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
• Monitors machine to adjust the feed, maintain quality, & identify issues
• Measures & checks parts for quality & correctness
• Selects appropriate machines (e.g. Router table or CNC), positions, & loads material for job
• Cleans & maintains equipment & work area
• Ensures fabrications ares completed in safest, most efficient method
• Reviews samples, drawings, & instructions to understand specifications of output
• Communicates any issues to supervisor
• Maintains & counts inventory
• Performs other tasks as requested by supervisor

Required Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required Work Experience

• 1+ years experience as CNC Machine Operator
• Experience working with machining equipment

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to read & understand G Codes
• Ability to read measuring equipment (ie. Tape Measures, Calipers, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suites software
• Proven experience working with machining equipment, including:
• CNC Routers
• CNC Saws
• Hand Routers
• Drill Press
• Edgers
• Joiners
• Buffers
• Table Saws
• Etc.
